Jigsaww are a diverse group of musicians residing in the New York Metro area united by one common bond... getting the party started. Whether entertaining at clubs, fairs, or private parties, their repertoire can accommodate and delight even the most persnickety of musical tastes. Simply put, Jigsaww makes you want to move.
Conceived in 1998, Jigsaww began as the brainchild of Phil Ishmael, arranger and band leader. Over the years, the lineup has seen many new faces, but the attitude and poise have remained the same. From ringing in the New Year to creating the proper ambiance for your special day, Jigsaww has the perfect song for you.
Jigsaww has had the privilege of playing for many celebrities and public figures, including Bobby Kennedy Jr., Bill Murray, James Earl Jones and Eartha Kitt, to name a few. They’ve performed as the opening act for Blood, Sweat & Tears. The sheer diversity of venues and events played by the band proves their adaptability.
The current group of musicians includes several music school graduates, both classical and jazz-trained, a doctor, parents, teachers… young and seasoned… of every color and background. We represent 5 different countries of origin, covering the globe. This is our Jigsaww puzzle. Come play with us!
